Scope and Acceptance

SifuAcademy.com and Legacy Academy are owned and operated by Alan Baker Consultations, Inc., referred to here as the Company, we, us, or our.

These terms apply to your access to SifuAcademy.com and to memberships, courses, downloads, live events, private training, seminars, and other offerings that the Company operates or sells through this website.

An offering may have an additional agreement, waiver, registration notice, or policy. Those additional terms become part of your agreement when you accept or purchase the offering. If a specific agreement conflicts with these general terms, the more specific agreement controls for that offering.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the website, create an account, enroll, or purchase an offering.

SECTION 02

Independent Partners and Instructors

Schools, instructors, academies, associations, event hosts, and other organizations connected with Legacy Academy or Sifu Alan Baker may be independently owned and operated.

Training an instructor, recognizing participation, or working with an outside organization does not make the Company responsible for that organization’s operations, conduct, services, statements, facilities, employees, contractors, or students. Each independent organization is responsible for its own actions and legal obligations.

SECTION 03

Accounts, Security, and Minors

You must provide accurate information and keep your account information current. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity performed through your account.

Every membership and account is for one individual only. Sharing login credentials, course access, downloads, or member content with another person is prohibited.

People under age 13 may not create an account or submit personal information. Anyone age 13 through 17 must participate with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian accepts responsibility for the minor’s use of the website and services.

SECTION 04

Memberships and Automatic Renewal

The price, billing interval, and membership benefits are displayed before purchase. A paid membership renews automatically at the displayed billing interval until canceled. By enrolling, you authorize the Company and its payment processor to charge the payment method on file for each renewal.

You may cancel future renewal at any time through Account, then Subscriptions. Cancellation stops future charges. Access continues through the end of the current paid billing period and then ends.

Membership payments are nonrefundable except where applicable law requires otherwise. We do not provide full or partial refunds for an unused portion of a billing period, failure to use the membership, or cancellation after a charge has been completed.

We may change membership pricing or terms prospectively. When notice is required, we will provide it before the change applies.

SECTION 05

Digital Purchases, Payments, and Refunds

Prices and available payment terms are shown at checkout. You agree to pay all charges you authorize, including applicable taxes. Payments may be processed by an outside payment provider subject to its own terms and privacy practices.

Downloadable materials, recorded courses, digital publications, and other products that provide immediate access are nonrefundable except where applicable law requires otherwise.

If a technical problem prevents access to a purchased product, contact us so we can investigate and restore access when appropriate.

SECTION 06

Live Events and Training Services

Registration for the Legacy Summit, seminars, camps, workshops, and other live events is governed by the Event Cancellation policy and any event specific terms displayed before purchase.

Private training, consulting, and speaking time is reserved in advance. Payments are nonrefundable. With at least 30 days written notice, an approved booking may be transferred to another available date. The transferred credit expires 12 months after the original scheduled date.

If the Company cancels or cannot deliver a private training, consulting, or speaking engagement, the amount paid for that engagement will be refunded.

SECTION 07

Training, Safety, and Results

Martial arts and physical training involve inherent risk. Website, video, course, and event information is educational and does not replace qualified medical, legal, safety, or professional advice.

You are responsible for choosing training that is appropriate for your health, experience, environment, equipment, supervision, and applicable law. Stop training and seek qualified assistance when safety requires it.

Participation, course access, or completion does not guarantee rank, certification, instructor status, employment, income, performance, or a specific result unless an offering expressly states otherwise.

SECTION 08

Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use

Website content, course material, curriculum, videos, audio, photographs, graphics, downloads, and original written material are protected by copyright, trademark, contract, and other applicable law.

You receive a limited, personal, revocable right to access material included with your active membership or purchase. You may not copy, record, share, publish, sell, teach from, adapt, distribute, scrape, or use protected material to build another product, course, dataset, or artificial intelligence system without written permission, except where applicable law permits otherwise.

You may not interfere with website security, attempt unauthorized access, share accounts, impersonate another person, introduce harmful code, or use the site for unlawful activity.

Outside Links and Affiliate Disclosure

The website may link to outside websites, services, products, instructors, or organizations. We do not control their content, security, availability, policies, or conduct.

Some links may be affiliate links. The Company or Alan Baker may receive a commission or other benefit if you purchase through such a link, at no additional cost to you. A link or reference does not guarantee or endorse every statement, product, or practice of the outside party.

SECTION 10

Privacy and Communications

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the site, you acknowledge that policy.

Service messages concerning accounts, security, purchases, memberships, and registered events may be sent when necessary. Marketing messages may be stopped through the unsubscribe method provided in the message.

Disclaimers, Liability, and Governing Law

The website and its content are provided on an as available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error free operation, or that every item will remain available.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company and its owners, officers, employees, instructors, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site or an offering.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are governed by Georgia law. Any dispute that must be heard in court will be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Cherokee County, Georgia, unless applicable law requires another location.

If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision once does not waive the right to enforce it later.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in offerings, technology, operations, or law. The effective date shown above identifies the current version. When required, material changes will be communicated through the website, account, or email before they take effect.
