SECTION 01
Policy Scope
This policy applies to seminars, workshops, training camps, summit programs, and other live events for which registration is sold directly through SifuAcademy.com or the event listing identifies Legacy Academy or Alan Baker Consultations, Inc. as the organizer, unless the event listing states different terms.
SECTION 02
Registration and Payment
A registration is confirmed only after the required payment is received and a registration confirmation is issued. Full payment is required unless the event listing expressly offers an approved deposit or payment plan.
If a scheduled payment fails or an outstanding balance remains unpaid after notice, the participant’s place may be released. A place is not guaranteed until all stated payment requirements have been satisfied.
SECTION 03
Attendee Cancellations
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through the contact page. The date the written request is received determines refund or credit eligibility. Please retain a copy of the request for your records.
Requests received 91 days or more before the event are eligible for a full refund. Requests received 31 through 90 days before the event are eligible for a 50 percent refund or a 100 percent event credit valid for 12 months. Requests received 30 days or fewer before the event are not eligible for a refund, credit, transfer, or rescheduling.
SECTION 04
Event Credits
An approved event credit remains valid for 12 months from the date it is issued. It may be applied to another eligible event offered by the same organizer, subject to availability and stated prerequisites.
Credits are nontransferable, have no cash value, and expire if they are not used within the 12 month period.
SECTION 05
Registration Transfers and Substitutions
A participant may request to substitute another person by submitting a written request at least 14 days before the event. Every substitution requires approval, and the replacement participant must satisfy all age, experience, safety, certification, and other event prerequisites.
Registrations may not be resold. An approved substitution changes the attendee name but does not create a refund or credit right.
SECTION 06
No Shows, Late Arrivals, and Partial Attendance
Participants who do not attend, arrive late, leave early, or complete only part of an event are not entitled to a refund, rescheduling, or prorated credit. Event completion requirements may also affect certificates, rankings, or continuing education recognition where applicable.
SECTION 07
Organizer Cancellation
If the organizer cancels an event, the participant may receive a full refund of the registration amount paid or elect to transfer the full amount to a future eligible event offered by the same organizer.
SECTION 08
Postponed or Rescheduled Events
If an event is postponed or rescheduled rather than canceled, the original registration remains valid for the new date. If the participant cannot attend, a cancellation or credit request will be handled under the standard timetable in this policy using the rescheduled event date, unless the event listing or applicable law requires different treatment.
SECTION 09
Location, Schedule, Curriculum, or Instructor Changes
The organizer may make reasonable changes to the training location, daily schedule, curriculum, facilities, or supporting instructors when needed to deliver the event safely and effectively.
A change to the event dates or a move outside the originally announced metropolitan area is considered a material change. The notice describing a material change will explain any options available to registered participants. Routine schedule adjustments, facility changes within the same area, curriculum refinements, and changes to supporting instructors are not ordinarily considered material changes.
SECTION 10
Weather, Emergencies, and Circumstances Beyond Reasonable Control
Safety comes first. An event may be delayed, modified, relocated, postponed, or canceled because of severe weather, natural disaster, public emergency, facility closure, travel disruption, government action, illness, or another circumstance beyond reasonable control.
Available options will be communicated after the circumstances are assessed. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
SECTION 11
Travel and Accommodation Expenses
Participants are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, meals, equipment, and related expenses unless the event listing expressly states otherwise. The organizer is not responsible for losses involving travel or accommodation reservations, including when an event is changed or canceled. Participants should consider flexible reservations and travel protection.
SECTION 12
Refund Method and Processing Time
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible. Processing time may vary by payment provider and financial institution. A refund is not complete until the payment provider accepts and processes it.
SECTION 13
Event Specific Terms
An event listing may state different eligibility requirements, payment dates, refund rules, included items, or transfer conditions. When those terms are displayed before purchase, they control for that event.
SECTION 14
How to Request a Cancellation, Transfer, Credit, or Refund
Submit the request in writing and include the participant’s name, event name and date, purchase email address, requested action, and any information needed to locate the registration. Do not include complete payment card information.
