Learn To Use Your Body
At A Higher Level

Develop structure, sensitivity, timing, efficiency, and close-range skill through a system that transforms not only how you fight, but how you move and interact with pressure.

Built from decades of study under Sifu Francis Fong, Professor James Cravens, and a lifetime of training in Chinese martial arts, Legacy Wing Chun focuses on developing the body, the nervous system, and the ability to apply skill under pressure.

STRUCTURE
The Challenge

Why Most Wing Chun Students Stay Stuck

Many students spend years practicing forms, drills, and Chi Sao without fully understanding what those training methods are designed to develop.

They learn the movements.

They memorize the drills.

They perform the forms.

But their body never truly changes.

Wing Chun was never intended to be a collection of techniques. It was designed as a system for developing structure, sensitivity, timing, efficiency, and intelligent movement under pressure.

The drills are not the goal.

The forms are not the goal.

Chi Sao is not the goal.

They are training methods designed to transform the practitioner.

The question is not:

“How many drills do you know?”

The real question is:

“What have those drills done to you?”

SYSTEM
A Different Perspective

The Operating System Of The Body

One of the greatest lessons Kung Fu gave me was learning how the human body actually works.

Most people think martial arts is about learning techniques.

Traditional Kung Fu teaches something deeper.

How To Use The Human Body More Efficiently

Through structure, alignment, sensitivity, relaxation, energy management, and intelligent movement, Wing Chun teaches students how to organize the body so it performs better under pressure.

This affects everything: striking, grappling, weapon work, self-defense, athletic performance, and even how you move through daily life.

Over time, the goal is not simply to put more information into your head.

The goal is to change the way your body operates.

CHANGE
Why Legacy Wing Chun Is Different

Information vs Transformation

Many martial arts programs focus on giving students more information.

Legacy Wing Chun focuses on changing the practitioner.

Information

  • Learning more techniques
  • Memorizing more drills
  • Collecting more forms
  • Accumulating more knowledge
  • Knowing more concepts
VS

Transformation

  • Better structure
  • Greater sensitivity
  • Improved timing
  • More efficient movement
  • Higher performance under pressure

The goal is not simply to know more.

The goal is to become different.

FEEL
Why Wing Chun Works

Sensitivity, Structure & Pressure

Wing Chun’s training methods were designed to develop qualities that cannot be built through theory alone.

The Body Learns Through Contact

Forms teach structure.

Drills teach reactions.

Chi Sao teaches sensitivity.

Pressure teaches application.

Structure Learn how to organize the body for stability, efficiency, and power generation.
Sensitivity Develop the ability to feel pressure, intention, and opportunity through contact.
Timing Learn when to act, not simply how to act.
Pressure Discover what remains when resistance and unpredictability increase.

The goal is not simply learning techniques.

The goal is developing a body that responds intelligently under pressure.

The Transformation

SCHOLAR
A Different Goal

Become More Than A Student

One of the greatest lessons my instructors ever gave me was learning how to think differently about training.

Most people spend years collecting techniques.

Some spend years collecting drills.

Others spend years collecting instructors.

Very few learn how to become students of the process itself.

Legacy Wing Chun is designed to help students understand not only what they are doing, but why they are doing it.

The goal is to develop practitioners who can identify problems, understand principles, diagnose mistakes, and continue improving long after class is over.

Understand Principles
Identify Problems
Diagnose Mistakes
Improve Intelligently
Continue Growing

The goal is not to create students who need a teacher forever.

The goal is to create students who understand the art deeply enough to continue teaching themselves.

A Personal Message

A Few Words From Sifu Alan Baker

Wing Chun has been one of the most influential systems I have studied throughout my martial arts journey.

I began training with Sifu Francis Fong in 1995 and have continued studying Wing Chun for decades. Along the way I also studied under Professor James Cravens and explored many of the Chinese martial arts systems that helped shape my understanding of structure, energy, sensitivity, and human performance.

One of the greatest lessons Wing Chun gave me was learning how to use the body more efficiently. Over time I realized that the drills, forms, and training methods were not ends unto themselves. They were tools designed to change the practitioner.

Legacy Wing Chun was created to share those lessons with serious students who want more than information. It was built for people who want to understand how the body works, how pressure affects performance, and how intelligent training can create long-term growth.

Whether you are completely new to Wing Chun or have been training for years, I hope this program helps you continue developing your understanding, your skill, and yourself.

Thank you for taking the time to visit. I look forward to being part of your journey.
